Civil Law in Judge Tate's Court: Three Decades of Challenge

In Memoriam by A. Yiannopoulos

Judge Albert Tate Jr. of Louisiana will long be remembered as a jurist, educator, scholar, concerned citizen, social reformer, humanitarian, family man, and friend. His contributions to law, state and federal, public and private, are many and diverse and ought to be the subject of comprehensive studies. This short epitaph is a preliminary tribute to Judge Tate's impact on the Louisiana civil law during three decades of challenge.
